Vehicle Stop & Approach Course

Our program has been updated to meet the need of specific mandates ie. We can deliver a Community Peace Officer or Police Specific Course. Our goal is to enhance officer’s abilities to recognize, avoid, de-escalate, and disengage from potentially violent or injurious situations. The direct benefit of this training will be an increase in professionalism, reduced complaints, safe practices and a reduction associated injuries and liabilities.

Designed for Law Enforcement personnel who are responsible for Instructing safe (unknown risk vehicle stops / vehicle approaches / and high risk vehicle stops). This will include the progression of training, equipment issues, formulation of comprehensive scenario-based training, safety guidelines to conduct such training. A pre-test and a post-test will be administered. A passing grade will be required for certification. Further, practical experience will be required The program has been compiled and developed by CIPS Inc. The CIPS Inc. Instructor Cadre, of police instructors both (active and retired) has a combined 70 years of Operational, Tactical, and Police training experience. 

The course is designed to provide an Instructor level certification that can be the utilized to deliver vehicle stop / and vehicle approach training to Law Enforcement personnel including Military Police, Community Peace Officers and Sheriffs. This program was specifically designed to meet the needs of Community Peace Officers & Police Officers. In 2011 CIPS Inc. developed programs and certified Alberta Sol. Gen. College Instructors in vehicle stops at the Alberta Solicitor General Staff College in Edmonton, Alberta.
